Crytek today announced the next era of its CryEngine game development tools Xbox One news

Crytek today announced the next era of its CryEngine game development tools, but it's not called the CryEngine 4.
The Crysis and Ryse: Son of Rome studio said the engine will no longer be identified by version numbers, due to the game engine evolving over time with new updates and upgrades.
Instead, the engine will be known simply as CryEngine going forward. Crytek also announced today that its Engine Licensing and Research & Development teams have come together in an effort to "double the level of one-to-one care" that game licensees can tap into.
This is "in essence offering Crytek's R&D as a service for developers using the new CryEngine," Crytek said.

The new CryEngine supports development on current-generation consoles; Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U, as well as PC and "further platforms" to be added in the future.

"Since CryEngine 3 was launched in 2009, we've dramatically changed the engine so many times, with so many major new features, it’s not the same engine anymore," Crytek business development director Carl Jones said in a statement.

Ryse: Son of Rome launches this November on Xbox One.

Trade Prices and happy gaming customers

At we often like to tell everyone about our awesome trade values and how we are the best when it comes to used video games. Over the weekend we put our system to the test and pleased yet another customer as we offered him a large amount more than what he expected.

Yui S. of Granada Hills CA came to us with 4 games that he wanted to trade in, we took the trade as we never turn away customers. We took the trade to Gamestop to see what they would offer us. Gamestop: $14.50 we were appalled with this price and how little they were offering for high value items.

We took the same trade and offered Mr. Yui $74.50. The right choice here is a no brainer as one can see the difference. We sent his payment to him quick and easy so he did not have to wait to receive his money.

Names Microsoft Almost called the Xbox One

A list of potential acronym-based names pitched for the original Xbox have been revealed for the first time.

In an interview with Edge, Seamus Blackley has revealed a long list of names that were floated to him and the rest of the console's launch team.
"First, there were our code names, which were WEP – ‘Windows Entertainment Project’ – designed to make Microsoft executives comfortable," he revealed. "Midway – ‘Midway between a PC and a console or ‘Battle of Midway’ – you decide – and DirectX Box, which was shortened to xbox in email very early on.

Phase four was a battle between us and the naming guys, when we decided we just wanted to risk it and go with Xbox.

"When we got the first approval, Kevin [Bachus] was told we had to get a new name, because ‘xbox’ wasn’t legally sound, so against his judgment he did so, and got the phase two, or ‘car’ names. These were so bad we didn’t even save them, but I remember making fun of one of them by calling it the ‘Microsoft Bunduss’. Then we got the ‘acronym’ phase from the naming geniuses.

"Phase four was a battle between us and the naming guys, when we decided we just wanted to risk it and go with Xbox – since that’s what everyone called it anyway – and they wanted, for some unknowable reason, to call it ‘11-X’ or ‘Eleven-X’. Finally, we told them no, but still had to decide: X-Box, xBox, XboX, Xbox, X-box…"

The complete list of suggested names are below and it's safe to say we think Blackley made the right call...
  • MAX (Microsoft Action Experience)
  • AIO (All In One)
  • MIND (Microsoft Interactive Network Device)
  • FACE (Full Action Center)
  • MITH (Microsoft Interactive Theatre)
  • XON (Experience Optimised Network)
  • MVPC (Microsoft Virtual Play Center)
  • TAC (Total Action Center – discs/games could be called TACs)
  • MARC (Microsoft Action Reality Center)
  • LEX (Live Entertainment Experience)
  • M-PAC (Microsoft Play and Action Center)
  • RPM (Real Performance Machine)
  • MOX (Microsoft Optimal Experience)
  • E2 (Extreme Experience)
  • MTG (Microsoft Total Gaming)
  • VIP (Virtual Interactive Player)
  • PTP or P2P (Powered To Play)
  • VIC (Virtual Interactive Center – disks/games could be called VICs)
  • MARZ (Microsoft Active Reality Zone)
  • TSO (Three, Six, Zero)
  • EHQ (Entertainment Headquarters)
  • O2 (Optimal Ozone or Optical Odyssey)
  • MIC (Microsoft Interactive Center)
  • R&R (Reality and Revolution)
  • MEA (Microsoft Entertainment Activator)
  • AMP (Active Microsoft Player)
  • VPS (Virtual Play System)
  • MAP (Microsoft Action Play)
  • MEGA (Microsoft Entertainment & Gaming Attendant or Microsoft Entertainment & Gaming Assembly)
  • CPG (CyberPlayGround)
  • VERV (Virtual Entertainment & Reality Venture)
  • OM (Odyssey of the Mind)
  • P2 (PowerPlay)
  • IS1 (Interactive System In One)
  • MET (Microsoft Entertainment Technology or Microsoft Entertainment Theatre)
Some of these are straight up ridiculous. Some would have just made us all laugh and really make fun of Microsoft. People are a creature of habit and what everyone knows it as is Xbox so they did the right thing by keeping it the same!

Xbox Live Public Beta for new Xbox 360 dashboard and Points replacement opens

Microsoft has thrown open applications for its next Xbox Live beta, giving Xbox 360 gamers the opportunity to have early access to the new Microsoft Points replacement and more. The 2013 Xbox Live Update for Xbox 360 Public Beta will see a trial switch-over to local currency for downloads and purchases, Microsoft’s Major Nelson writes, in addition to performance improvements.

The switch away from Microsoft Points to gamers’ local currencies was announced last month, with the company saying that any existing credit in a player’s account would be converted over to currency “of at least equal value.” The change comes ahead of the new Xbox One, which will go on sale alongside the Xbox 360 rather than directly replacing it.

Membership of the public beta is only open to limited numbers – Microsoft hasn’t said how many will be accommodated – and, for the first time, will be accessed via the Xbox Live dashboard itself. Xbox 360 owners should look out for a new Xbox Beta Program tile on the homescreen.

Initially, any gamer in an Xbox Live market will be able to take part, barring Japan. Those Japanese gamers who want to get involved will have to wait until “a later date”, Major Nelson says. Those in the public beta will also have to sign an NDA, though in previous years those non-disclosure agreements have generally failed to stop details leaking.

Despite the new, next-gen console on the way, Microsoft isn’t giving up on its existing model. The company announced a redesigned version of the Xbox 360 back at E3, and has promised “hundreds of new games” over the next few years.

Rockstar Answers Alot of Grand Theft Auto V questions

Rockstar had another Q & A session for Grand Theft Auto V this is a highlight of things to come with the release of Grand Theft Auto V. Enjoy!

Someone asked Rockstar during the Q & A about whether they would be released on next gen consoles.

This was thier reply:

The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don’t have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now.

Rockstar also indicated that the Xbox 360 version of the game will come on two discs and take up more than 8GBs of storage. That is a mandatory installation. This is the answer that they have given us in the release.

Grand Theft Auto V is the largest and most ambitious game we have yet created, and takes full advantage of every ounce of processing power available in the current generation of consoles. In order to provide the best possible experience for such a massive and detailed world, the game will have installation requirements on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation®3 systems. For Xbox 360, Grand Theft Auto V will ship on two discs; Disc 1 will be used for a one-time mandatory install and Disc 2 will be used to play the game. After the install, players will be able to enjoy both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto without any need to switch discs.

This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance. For PlayStation®3, the game ships on one disc and will install content as soon as you insert the game. The install is roughly 8GB, and players will be able to play as soon as the install is complete.

USB flash drives are fairly cheap, Good thing that storage is fairly cheap now and a usb drive will come in handy for this one. That’s scheduled to happen on September 17th, 2013. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.

Hope this answers some questions. As always keep on gaming and if you need anything or want to trade video games, consoles or accessories. Stop by today!

Female Gamers and how much the industry loves them!

Some gamers often like to say that Female Gamers don't exist or that they don't recognize them as true hardcore gamers. The facts released by the 2013 Entertainment Software Association research shows that 45% of all gamers are women. That percentage stays pretty much the same for the “most frequent video game purchasers,” of which women represent 46%. This number is getting close to being half of the game purchases are done by women gamers.
This is great and should be remembered that video games play a large role in the lives of everyone today. We love our consoles and enjoy the new releases. The upcoming Next-gen consoles Xbox one Vs. PS4 is a much debated console and will truly show where the loyalty lies among gamers. During the E3 Conference there was many types of gamers there that was enjoying the new upcoming releases.
This is just to give you an idea that there are many types of gamers that enjoy playing the games as much as everyone else. The full report can be found here courtesy of The Entertainment Software Association.

Xbox One may be dropping the Kinect requirement Bombshell

Would this requirement change the way people are viewing the Xbox One and be happy with it, here is the tweets that highlighted this change and cause a major stir in the online gaming world.

This comes after much scrutiny regarding privacy concerns within Microsoft and the NSA privacy scandal. Concerns that led to bill proposals in the United States (the "We are watching you" act). This concern was thanks to an "always on, always sending data" feature said to be required from the Kinect sensor in relation to the Xbox One. The rumor of its removal came from Jonathan Liedtke, an editor for UWindosor Lance.

BREAKING: @Xbox media relations confirms to me via email that #kinect sensor IS NOT required for #XboxOne. #privacy #drm #prism #microsoft"
He than followed up with this bomb shell:
".@Xbox confirms NO #XboxOne price drop due to NO kinect requirement. #XboxOne is "competitively priced" & xbox is "confident with the value."

Could this mean more people will go back to the Xbox One over the PS4? Only time will tell as the war between these two consoles continues. We will have more as it comes out. keep on gaming.

Hyperkin RetroN 5 Video Gaming System, Charcoal

Have you ever wanted an all in one system that plays all your favorite retro and classic video games. I will admit it is not the same as having the old console to play the games, but if you want to keep your old console in excellent unused shape this could be the system for you! It may not be the best design or look the best but it does the job.
One of the recent inspections of the RetroN 5 was carried out by engadget. Their keen-eyed reporter happened to notice the occasional pop-up appearing above the console's menu system, ones belonging to that of the Android operating system.
This, however, is a good thing. Instead of attempting to perfect each of the promised systems into a single chip (think back to the poor sound playback on that of Mega Drive clones), the inclusion of Android will mean that the system will not only be running on more authentic emulation overall, but it will also allow up-scaling to modern displays and system updates.
Retroware TV were also in attendance of E3 and took some time to record this new hardware in action. There are some downfalls to an all in one sytem but it functions outstanding. I recommend checking this sytem out. The price is very reasonable and cheap, we are going to get a few of these for the website soon.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Let you play as the dog

t's official, your canine companion won't just be another AI squadmate.
There are many things in the new Call of Duty that Infinity Ward would like you to be excited about, but the one getting all of the internet's attention is the now-famous military service dog in your squad. It seems we can stop wondering about what role the little guy will play in the game's campaign - a pre-E3 sneak peak at the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Ghosts has revealed the dog to be a playable character in certain missions.

Hopefully it's obvious that you won't be strapping an M4 to the hound and sending him off to crouch behind chest-high walls, so the dog sections will involve a shift in gameplay. In real life, the military uses highly-trained dogs in the field as remote reconnaissance, and that's pretty much what you'll be doing in Ghosts. A mounted camera lets soldiers see what the dog sees via a handheld viewfinder, and an earpiece allows the team to give orders from afar. Stealthy situations will call for a more subtle method of instruction, so small vibrations on the dog's collar let teams direct him silently. It seems a little hard to believe, but Infinity Ward says they've done their homework and this is how actual Navy SEAL teams operate with service dogs.

Of course, this is a game, and it's more fun to actually be the dog than it is to hope the animal correctly interprets your commands. In Ghosts, you'll control your canine squadmate just like any other character, attacking hostile soldiers with vicious lunges for the throat. We're talking about man's best friend though, so the dog will also work together with his bipedal squadmates to distract enemies by barking, luring them into your sniper's crosshairs.

It sounds like the dog portions of the game won't be too different from previous games' drone or helicopter segments. There's no word on whether you'll be able to directly control a dog in multiplayer, but if so, I'd gladly trade my grenades for a tactical T-bone steak as a counter.

Xbox One Confirmed to be Region Locked

Microsoft’s Xbox One console will be region-locked, a company spokesperson has reportedly confirmed with Digital Trends.

“Similar to the movie and music industry, games must meet country-specific regulatory guidelines before they are cleared for sale,” said the Microsoft representative. “We will continue to work with our partners to follow these guidelines with Xbox One.”

It’s a muddy statement made murkier by the fact that region-locking is currently almost non-existent on PS3, a console that answers to the same country-specific regulatory guidelines.
Microsoft has been approached for further comment since, but has left the topic unclarified.
"Regarding region blocking, Microsoft don't have anything further to announce at this stage. We'll have more to share later," a Microsoft spokesperson told Polygon.
We'll update as the story develops.

This is a brave move for Microsoft and will be criticized for this one. Only time will tell how it goes now though.

Microsoft Fails Again to get it straight.

This story is kind of funny if you think about it, yea the guy bought these up hoping Microsoft would some day want them. The funny part is that they decided after the release to even think about getting this domain. Or did they think of the name the day before! More below.

Microsoft has filed a complaint over and in hopes of taking control of the domains.

According to Fusible, Microsoft's dispute is filed with the National Arbitration Forum (case number 1501205, currently listed as “pending” on the NAF database), and the company is seeking to acquire the websites from a single UK resident who owns both. The WHOIS info for both domains suggests that they were registered on December 29, 2011 by a Krasimir Hristov Ivanov who resides in London.

Microsoft previously registered a handful of domain names for rumored Xbox codenames including Xbox 8 and Xbox Fusion. It’s worth noting that Microsoft also does not appear to own the Xbox One Twitter account. Will the Xbox One be sold in Japan? Microsoft Works to answer this question!

"Will the next Xbox be sold in Japan?" is a frequently asked question given the 360's enormous failure in the East. It seems that they are still working out details on this launch and are working hard to get some answers about this huge question. They should strive to have bragging rights about being available world wide right?

"I think you'll see some announcements in the not too distant future that I think might delight people," Microsoft's Phil Spencer told IGN. The corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios continued, "To me, heading up studios, it's always been a place where we fine the most creative games in the market." That said, the future of Xbox One and Japan still seems uncertain.

Japan remains "an incredibly rich content development community," Spencer said, "and something we're spending a lot of time with and thinking about -- the Japanese creators, and having them creating content on our box and having that show up to the worldwide audience." There have been some debate about if Xbox games produced in Japan would thrive and be worth seeking the market. Only time will tell and when E3 comes around we will see how interested everyone is in the games that are set to come out with this console.

Remember to visit for all your gaming needs, we buy, sell and will trade all video games! We will give you the best price for your used games! We also have drawings for $15 Certificates that can be used for purchase on our site! $15 Free Contest!

Square-Enix president and CEO Mike Fischer has left

Square-Enix president and CEO Mike Fischer has left the Japanese company. After nearly three years with the developer/publisher, Fischer departed for a vice president position at Amazon Japan's Digital Music and Video division.

Following the company's recent revision of its business, president Yoichi Wada stepped down in April. Fischer told Polygon he departed the company amicably.

Fischer previously worked with Microsoft, SEGA, and Namco. What could this mean for the company in the future. Only time will tell!

Super Stardust Spiritual Successor Coming to PlayStation 4

Housemarque has announced it's creating a spiritual successor to the Super Stardust franchise, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

The developer, which has also created titles like Dead Nation and Outland, revealed that while the game didn't have a title as yet, it'd be available exclusively on Sony's next-gen console.
CEO Ilari Kuittinen said, "We are super excited to be working on Sony’s next-gen hardware. The platform’s performances are enabling us to do things that wouldn’t be possible otherwise and we truly believe that better technology can lead to better gameplay. The more tools and resources we have at our disposal, the better.

"Think of Super Stardust HD: at the time, PlayStation 3 gave us the opportunity to populate the game with thousands of interactive objects and implement the game’s famous ‘spherical gameplay’. Today, we can take advantage of the architecture of PlayStation 4 to create incredible visuals with direct impact on the way the new game feels."

The company has also announced its working on a second project, again exclusively for the PS4, No information was released about what the title was or any pictures on either games. More to follow soon I would imagine.

Independant developers may have trouble with xbox one

Independent developers wishing to get games on Xbox One's Xbox Live Arcade will still be unable to self-publish, it has been announced.

As it currently stands, indie devs must get a publishing deal with either Microsoft Games Studios or a third-party publisher to get their games on XBLA. The exception to this is titles that opt to release on Xbox Live Indie Games, though this has more financial drawbacks for developers than the more lucrative Arcade section.

There was some speculation following Sony's commitment to independent developers with the PS4 that Microsoft would make things easier for everyone to get games on its console, but it seems this won't be the case.

The company's general manager of Redmond Game Studios and Platforms Matt Booty told Shacknews, "We intend to continue to court developers in the ways that we have."

He did suggest this could change in the future though, adding, "I would also expect that for this new generation, that we're going to continue to explore new business models and new ways of surfacing content. But Microsoft Studios is a publisher that works with a wide range of partners, as do a lot of other people, to bring digital content to the box."

Both Sony and Nintendo allow indie devs to self-publish through PSN and eShop, respectively.

This may be some sad news for some developers. Hope they work this out in your favor.

Ryse Confirmed for Xbox One

Crytek has announced Ryse, the first-person Roman combat game announced back in 2010, is now being developed exclusively for Xbox One.

A posting on the company's site doesn't reveal much, other than that it'll have "controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect." There's also a countdown clock promising we'll find out more in 19 days at E3.

Ryse was first teased as Codename: Kingdoms at E3 2010 before getting an official reveal a year later. Mutterings started surfacing that the game had been redesigned as a next-gen title in late 2011 based on the LinkedIn resume of a Crytek designer.

Earlier this month, we heard reports that the game had been re-worked into a next-generation game "designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title." Given this announcement, it seems that these may have been accurate.

Last night Microsoft announced that 15 exclusives would be coming to the Xbox One in the first year, of which eight would be new franchises. Taking this news with the announcement of Quantum Break, it seems we now know two of the new IPs.

This will be a great addition, I am pulling the video will be up here in a few minutes from the teaser that was released during E3.

EA Senior Engineer: 'The Wii U Is Crap'

This will be interesting to see what people say about this one. Twitter can be an interesting place to voice your opinions, and EA’s Bob Summerwill – a Senior Software Engineer and Architect – has sounded-off there with his thoughts about Nintendo’s struggling Wii U console. His comments, of course, follow EA's admission that it has no Wii U games in development.

Here is the tweets that he wrote below about the company.

EA has announced an Anniversary Edition of Madden NFL 25

EA has announced an Anniversary Edition of Madden NFL 25. Available for $99.99, the Anniversary Edition will offer offers for DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket, including “a unique code to access the 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.”

The Anniversary Edition will offer an exclusive Madden Ultimate Team pack for all 17 weeks of the regular season and will also allow fans who aren’t DirecTV subscribers to get $10 off their first month of service and a full year of NFL Sunday Ticket MAX for free. Those who already subscribe will receive access to NFL Sunday Ticket on computers and mobile devices. According to EA, the full package offers “over $400 in value.”

“We’re delighted to offer our fans this special edition to celebrate the franchise they helped build over the last 25 years,” said senior EA Sports marketing director Anthony Stevenson. “Pairing the ultimate football video game experience with the ultimate viewing experience in DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket will deliver incredible value and excitement all season long.”
The Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively at Amazon, and pre-orders are available now.

Madden NFL 25 will launch on Xbox 360 on and PlayStation 3 on August 27th 2013. This is great news for all you sports fans that want to save some money on the ticket!

Mario's Replacement in New Super Luigi U

Some exciting new releases from Nintendo today as they try to come out with new content for their Wii! Nintendo has announced that New Super Luigi U, the extensive DLC spin-off from New Super Mario Bros. U, will be available digitally from June 20.

Additionally, the game will be getting a boxed retail release on July 26 in Europe and August 28 in North America. If you opt for the digital version, you'll need to own New Super Mario Bros. U, If you don't own the other you should grab the disk!
Since Mario won't be appearing in the DLC in any form, a new thief-like character has been added to round out the team also comprised of blue and yellow Toads and Luigi.

The new character, Nabbit, plays a little differently to the others. Whilst he won't be able to get power-ups, he also won't be able to be hurt by damage, so presumably functions as an entry level character for younger players or those unfamiliar with the game.

For those unaware, New Super Luigi U is based on New Super Mario Bros. U but changes the courses completely for the game and places the emphasis firmly on playing through as Luigi. Enjoy this will be funny to see where it goes! Remember to visit GameNTrade for all your gaming needs! We have old retro gaming consoles also!

Nintendo Announced New Mario & Sonic: Olympic Winter Games

Nintendo has announced a new Mario & Sonic: Olympic Winter Games title will be released to tie into the upcoming Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

Set in the resort town in Southern Russia, the graphics will apparently be enhanced from previous games and will include snow and ice effects. It'll also support Wii Remote Plus.

Returning events from the previous games include skiing and snowboarding, while new events like figure skating pairs and snowboard slope style will also be included. The GamePad will be integrated in some games like curling, where you'll have to draw a line to your target.

There'll also be a "green events" mode, where stages built in the worlds of Sonic and Mario will be playable, allowing you to perform dynamic moves not possible in real life. There'll also be a relay type event where you snowboard, then ski and finally bobsleigh.

No release date was announced, but with the Winter Olympics not taking place until next year, we assume it won't be out until then.

Google expects users for Android to hit 900 Million

Google expects users to activate about 900 million Android devices this year, more than doubling the number activated in 2012, an executive said Wednesday.

Sundar Pichai, head of Google's Android and Chrome operations, said at the company's developers conference that users activated 400 million Android devices in 2012 and 100 million in 2011.

"The momentum has been breathtaking since then," Pichai said.
And Hugo Barra, vice president of product management, said Google Play has just passed 48 billion app installations, with 2.5 billion installations in the last month alone.

Google is hosting Google I/O, its annual developers conference, Wednesday in San Francisco. The online giant has been expected to announce a host of new products and provide more details about other recently announced technology such as Google Glass.

Google's Android software has become the most-used mobile operating system in the world. Canalys last week said Android ran about 60 percent of all smart devices -- phones, tablets, and notebooks -- shipped in the first quarter, while iOS came in second with 19 percent share. While Android still lags iOS in tablets, it's starting to pick up steam, much as it did before dominating smartphones.

Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt in April predicted that 1 billion people will be using Android smartphones within the next six to nine months. He also said there will be nearly 2 billion Android phones within a year or two. As of April, there were more than 750 million Android phones in use across 320 carriers and 160 countries, Schmidt said, and there are 1.5 million sales or activations of Android every day.

This is great news and is crazy how large thier network is growing.

Nokia Accounced the new Lumia 925

Today in London, Nokia announced the Lumia 925, the latest in the Finnish company's line of high-end Windows Phone handsets. Unlike its predecessors, the Lumia 925 utilizes a metal frame — which cuts down the device's weight and thickness — while polycarbonate covers the rear with Gorilla Glass protecting the display.

As usual, Nokia has put a lot of thought into smartphone photography. The new Lumia 925 is equipped with a 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization and Carl Zeiss optics, and has one more lens than the similarly equipped Lumia 920 and the recently announced Lumia 928. The purpose of the extra lens is to improve picture quality in bright conditions, which should work quite nicely alongside the great low-light performance already present with Nokia's PureView-branded cameras. Interestingly, the Lumia 925 uses a dual-LED flash setup instead of the company's Xenon flash configuration revealed as part of the Lumia 928.

The company has also included its new Smart Camera software that takes a burst of 10 photos in quick succession. Once the images have been processed, users can choose between Best Shot to create a composite image from the collection, Action Shot to display a sequence of shots in a single image, or Motion Focus, which allows the focal point of an image to be altered after the photo is taken.

Forget 4g Lte, 5G is in the works and will be super fast

It's time to forget 4G and LTE: Samsung says that the future cell network we should all be drooling over is the intensely fast 5G network, which Engadget reports can pull down a jaw-dropping 1Gbps.

The prototype demonstration, which was initially covered in YonHapNews, utilized 64 antenna elements to transmit using a 28 Gigahertz waveband. In plain English, that means that the cluster of antennas were able to create a real-time stream of data.

So when can we expect to feel the future? Samsung hopes to roll out the service in 2020, but there's no specifics on where 5G will be showing up.

It will be the fastest thing around and will mean that your phone network will be close to what you can get at your home! It will be great to see when this comes around.

Microsoft Setting up for Xbox Reveal

Microsoft has begun building the structure on its Redmond, Washington campus that will house its next-generation Xbox reveal next week.

As seen in photos from Xbox Live’s Major Nelson and Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business chief of staff Aaron Greenberg on Twitter, construction is already underway on a temporary building for the event, which Greenberg refers to as “the house that Xbox built.”

The Xbox Reveal event is set to take place on the campus at 10:00 a.m. Pacific on May 21st, and you’ll be able to watch it live on IGN. Our preshow will begin at 9am, and we’ll be joined by a very special guest: Fable creator and former Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux.
What do you want to see from the Xbox reveal? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to stay up to date with all the latest rumors in our Xbox 720 wiki.

Google Play Games Leak Details New Gaming Features for Android

We're just a few short days away from Google's keynote presentation at its annual developers conference, Google I/O, but that hasn't stopped one potential announcement from leaking early. Android Police has uncovered a leaked document that details Google's forthcoming Google Play Games software, a gaming platform comparable to iOS' Game Center and Xbox Live, providing multiplayer matchmaking, leaderboards, achievements, in-game chat tools, and cloud game saving services. The report aligns with prior reports, including mentions of the service in Google's MyGlass app last month.

While the company has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, Google Play Games would give Android-based gaming a long overdue leg up. Until now, the onus has been on game developers and publishers to build multiplayer and cloud saving tools of their own, fragmenting gaming experiences for players and costly for smaller games companies.

Android boss Sundar Pichai has tempered expectations for his presentation this week at Google I/O, telling Wired that the company will focus primarily on new tools for developers instead of new hardware and software platforms. Last year, Google introduced the Nexus 7 and Nexus Q, as well as the latest version of Android, 4.1 Jellybean.
Google I/O is set to begin this Wednesday, May 15th, at 9am PST. Be sure to stay tuned to IGN for all of the news from the event.

This is exciting news! It will be nice to see where they go with this Thanks guys!
