Ryse Confirmed for Xbox One
Crytek has announced Ryse, the first-person Roman combat game announced back in 2010, is now being developed exclusively for Xbox One.
A posting on the company's site doesn't reveal much, other than that it'll have "controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect." There's also a countdown clock promising we'll find out more in 19 days at E3.
Ryse was first teased as Codename: Kingdoms at E3 2010 before getting an official reveal a year later. Mutterings started surfacing that the game had been redesigned as a next-gen title in late 2011 based on the LinkedIn resume of a Crytek designer.
Earlier this month, we heard reports that the game had been re-worked into a next-generation game "designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title." Given this announcement, it seems that these may have been accurate.
Last night Microsoft announced that 15 exclusives would be coming to the Xbox One in the first year, of which eight would be new franchises. Taking this news with the announcement of Quantum Break, it seems we now know two of the new IPs.

Xbox One Reveal Revolutionized the Next-gen Industry
Microsoft has announced many of the specs for the Xbox One at the company's "Xbox Reveal" event, which began at 1 p.m. EDT today. The new Xbox One features an 8-core processor, 8 GB of system memory or RAM, a 500 GB hard drive, 802.11N wi-fi, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
Microsoft said the Xbox One features 5 billion transistors and three operating systems -- one for games (Xbox One), the second is the Windows kernel, the third connects the two for quick system switching and multitasking. The system will have several power states to save energy costs. It will also be nearly silent, according to Microsoft.
The new Xbox One controller has a newly designed D-Pad as well as several other new features. The screenshot above shows two buttons replacing the Xbox Home button, one appears to be for window-switching, and the other appears to have a list view or right-click function.
Microsoft said that the Xbox One Kinect sensor will be updated, and will capture content at 1080p. The Xbox One has not been given a specific release date, but will be released later this year, Microsoft announced.
