Nintendo Announced New Mario & Sonic: Olympic Winter Games
Nintendo has announced a new Mario & Sonic: Olympic Winter Games title will be released to tie into the upcoming Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
Set in the resort town in Southern Russia, the graphics will apparently be enhanced from previous games and will include snow and ice effects. It'll also support Wii Remote Plus.
Returning events from the previous games include skiing and snowboarding, while new events like figure skating pairs and snowboard slope style will also be included. The GamePad will be integrated in some games like curling, where you'll have to draw a line to your target.
There'll also be a "green events" mode, where stages built in the worlds of Sonic and Mario will be playable, allowing you to perform dynamic moves not possible in real life. There'll also be a relay type event where you snowboard, then ski and finally bobsleigh.
No release date was announced, but with the Winter Olympics not taking place until next year, we assume it won't be out until then.
